Now, we know that the sum of interior angles in a triangle is equal to 180°;
∠a + ∠b + ∠c = 180°
Now, ∠c and ∠d are angles that form a straight line and as such they sum up to 180° as they are supplementary angles.
∠c + ∠d = 180°
Thus, by transitive properties, we can say that;
∠a + ∠b + ∠c = ∠c + ∠d
Therefore by subtraction property of equality we have;
∠a + ∠b = ∠d
