By doing this, we not only greatly reduce our own need to recycle used materials, but we put pressure on manufacturers at the same time. If we quit buying their wares, they will have to make changes, such as using containers that can be composted. Of course, it is good to write letters, too. That way the companies understand exactly why you have stopped buying their products. Then, they will know what they need to change to entice you back to using their products.
