Answer 1

Answer:

If handled properly the pandemic can very well be a return to our Environment. Just in the last year alone, we have seen a decrease in air and water pollution as fewer people are commuting to work and school. As more and more companies have adopted a work from home model in order to ensure they could continue to survive during this pandemic fewer people have had the need to drive to work. In addition with less air travel has reduced air pollution as well. We have also seen a decrease in cruise travel as the cruise industry was completely shut down. This resulted in a reduction in waste products being dumped into our oceans, combined with a reduction in traveling to beaches has resulted in a return of wildlife and increased populations of organisms along the coastline. However, the bigger question is can it be sustained, can we as a people continue to work from home, travel less and put our environment before our own needs and wants. I believe that we will see a shift of some industries remaining on the current model of working from home, however, others will return to an in person work model. The cruise industry is starting to open back up which will result in ocean pollution and with air travel become safe again many wil take to the airways.

"it is not the body alone that experiences sexual feelings; it is the whole person. Sexual attraction and feelings have a purpose in God's plan of creation." Explain this statement in your own words.

Answers

Explanation:

in the beginning God created man. after He did he had to create a companion for him therefore God created us in such a way that we will be attracted sexually and we will also have feelings for others

Answer:

"It is not the body alone that experiences sexual feelings; it is the whole person. Sexual attraction and feelings have a purpose in God's plan of creation."

Alright lets break down this statement to understand it, shall we?

"It is not the body alone that experiences sexual feelings; it is the whole person."

The first thing we have to ask ourselves is, is this a true statement? What do you think? Can the body alone experience sexual arousal or is it also the whole person? Meaning can the individual's mental, emotional, and physical state experience sexual arousal?

The whole person can experience sexual feelings. Why? Everything goes through the eyes, you like the person. The mind gets involved, you start to see the potential benefits as well as the pros and cons of that person. Of course, if your the individual who think with the mind and not with the heart because when you think with the heart that is when everything starts to go downhill. Then, after the mind gets involved and you decide whether or not that person you choose is right for you, you start to feel attached towards that person.  That's now when you involve your heart.  The heart is the emotional state, it describes the feelings. And, once you involve the heart then the body becomes aroused. Now, will you pay attention to those desires or will you detain them? As for the phrase: "It is not the body alone that experiences sexual feelings; it is the whole person." It is true. The whole body experiences sexual feelings one way or another.

Now, let's move on to the next part of the phrase:

"Sexual attraction and feelings have a purpose in God's plan of creation."

Is it true, or is it false? What do you think? Sexual attraction was implanted since the beginning of creation when God created Adam and Eve. Let's read Genesis 2: 18, 21-25 "Then Jehovah God said: “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.” 21 So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. 22 The Lord God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. 23 The man said,

“This is now bone of my bones,

And flesh of my flesh;

She shall be called Woman,

Because she was taken out of Man.”

24 For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh."

As we can see here, God saw it unfit that man be alone. So, he made a woman out of one of his ribs. And, when Adam saw Eve there was an instant attraction. As we can see sexual attraction is part of God's purpose. But, why? Let's read Genesis 1: 27 "God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

As we can see their purpose was to have many children and to fill the Earth with people, to live forever. That was God's purpose since the very beginning. Now, God hates people that sin and do not respect the union of marriage or is promiscuous. 1 Corinthians 6:18 states: "Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body." And, Hebrews 13:4  states: "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous."

Position issue Valence issue A Politicians should be honest about their actions. The most important issue of the twenty-first century is climate change. B Every person should have the right to work and provide for their family. The government should address corruption within itself. C The military should defend the United States from threats. The government should not provide food stamps for low-income families. D The government should increase spending on public education. Every person should have the right to a good education. Which of the following makes a correct comparison between position issues and valence issues

Answers

Answer:

D The government should increase spending on public education. Every person should have the right to a good education.

Explanation:

Considering the options available, the correct comparison between position issues and valence issues is Option D.

This is because the Position issue is an issue that causes a form of different opinions or perceptions among voters such that the voters have no consensus among themselves.

In this case, the idea that "The government should increase spending on public education, " is a Position issue because some people would believe government public education is doing well at the moment and the government should rather focus on other areas of development.

On the other hand, the Valence issue is an issue whereby there is a broad agreement or consensus among voters.

In this case, the idea that "Every person should have the right to a good education, " is something people will generally accept as part of the universal right of human beings.

belief perseverance.

Explanation:

Irene's reaction illustrates the belief perseverance, which occurs when an individual has a belief and is unable to change it, even though evidence and facts prove that their belief is unfounded.

As shown in the question above, where Irene believed that her teacher didn't like her because he didn't respond to her request when she had her hand raised to answer a question.

Therefore, the question also shows that she continued to have this thought even though she received information that the teacher had a limited vision that made it impossible for her to see her. This then illustrates the perseverance of Irene's belief.

The defendant discovered that his friend had hit and killed a pedestrian while driving that afternoon, and that he had fled from the scene of the crime before the police arrived. To keep his friend out of trouble, the defendant fixed all the dents in the car caused by the collision and had the vehicle painted a different color. The friend, distraught about hitting and killing someone, eventually turned himself in and told the police what he had done and what the defendant had done for him. The defendant was charged as an accomplice to vehicular manslaughter in a state that follows the modern trend regarding accomplice liability. How should the defendant be found

Answers

Answer:

Not guilty, because he only helped his friend after the crime was already committed.

Explanation:

There are 3 main type of parties to a crime. they include;

1. Principals  Parties

This is simply refred to as  those individual are those who along with required mental state, actually engage in the act or omission that causes the criminal result.

2. An accomplice

This is simply refered to as an individual who with the known intention that the crime be committed, aids, counsels, or encourages the principal before or during the process of the offense being carried out. Under modern statutes, accomplices are generally treated as principals.

3. An accessory after the fact

This is refered to as individuals  one who receives, relieves, comforts, or assists another knowing that he has committed a felony, in order to help the felon escape arrest, trial, or conviction.

When compared to an accomplice, an accessory after the fact has actually committed a separate crime with a punishment  and it is totally different and unrelated to the felony committed by the friend in this case. In the instant case, it is obvious that the defendant helped his friend in avoiding capture, that he provided no aid to the substantive offense, and that he did not intend the substantive offense to occur. Thus, he is an accessory after the fact and not an accomplice. Therefore, the defendant is not an accomplice, so due to the facts presented, it can therefore be said that he cannot be criminally liable for any other crimes committed by his friend.

Do you agree with the United States' decision to intern Japanese Americans during World War II? Why or why not?

Answers

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Do you agree with the United States' decision to intern Japanese Americans during World War II?

No, I don't. President Roosevelt was not justified in ordering executive order 9066 which resulted in the internment of Japanese American citizens. It is true that some of his cabinet members -such as the Secretary of Defense- believed that the executive order was necessary and justified. However, that order treated Japanese American people as a prisoner of war, isolated in the interim camps such as Manzanates, California, and that was not a way to treat an American citizen.

For some historians, those camps resemble in concept, the Nazi camps of World War II, taking into consideration the proportions of this comparison.

Besides, there was no real evidence that proved that these Japanese Americans were spies or had ties with the Japanese Army.

Answer:

Appeal to the people

Explanation:

The paragraph presented above is an example of a deceit known as appeal to the people, or, Argumentum ad Populum. This kind of deceit presents an argument that tries to arouse a passion or a belief of the public, persuading them to support the argument. The speaker of this argument starts to show himself as belonging to a group, gaining the confidence of the audience and then starts to show how a passion or a belief is being disrespected and how this will be harmful to the group. We can see that in the paragraph shown above, the speaker uses religion to evoke the public's wrath against the teaching of biological evolution.

The 3 Dimensional Quantities of Measurement includes

1. Repeatability- includes; count, rate/frequency, celeration

2. Temporal Extent- includes duration

3. Temporal Locus- includes response latency, interresponse time (IRT)

Temporal Locus

This is simply known as the point in time at which a behavior is said to occur. It includes responce latency and interresponse time.

Interresponce Time (IRT)

This is simply defined as the rate or.amount of time that goes by or occur between 2 consecutive occurences of a response class. Its main goal and focus is to measures time between two successive responses.

The advantage of this measure is that it is in line that is it correlates with rate (the longer IRT the slower the rate, the shorter the IRT the faster the rate)

While the disadvantage to IRT is that the second response must hapoen within the observation tims or session or the data would not be needed anymore.
