So there was this case called tinker vs does Moines. basically it was about students in Des Moines held a meeting in there like house or whatever. They chose to wear black armbands to show their support for the truce in the Vietnam war. But the the principal of Des Moines made a new rule in the school that any students wearing a black armband would be asked to take it off, if they didn’t they would be suspended.On December 16th Mary Beth tinker and Christoper did that same thing and worse arm bands in the color of black. They were sent home. Then John tinker did the same thing and also went home.
The students sued the school for violating the students. Basically sueing them for right of expression and not letting them show their emotion for the war.

one was brown vs the board! it’s really popular and definitely made a difference in the course of history. the supreme court declared that “separate but equal” should not apply in schools and it violated the 14th amendment! Hope this helps❤️
