Answer:
(I went through my English papers to find this)
Darkness looms over him like a cloak, the sound of multiple horses clambering down the cobblestone corridor ring in his ears. “Don’t let him get away!” A wicked grin makes way to his face as he holds on tight to the metal ladder. Dropping to the ground, he makes his way back to the castle.
He hums an old tune as he walks, the starless sky completing the eerie mood. With each step his light hair drips from the heavy rain before. “I see you’ve taken a liking to these types of nights.” Halting, he scowls at the owner of the voice. “I didn’t think that was any of your concern.” His hostile stance didn’t go unnoticed by the old man in front of him. “Just curious why a prince would be sneaking out this late.” The younger scoffs. “My title doesn’t dictate what I do.” Spotting a rose growing beside the wall, he picks it, shielding it from the rain with his shroud.
“Foolish boy...you’ll only ruin our country if you become king.” With one last glare, he takes the smooth brass handle to the entrance into his grip. “Then it’s a good thing you're not the one to determine the fate of this country.” Frustration fuels his already running mind as drowsiness creeps around the corner. Making his way up the marble staircase, his stern look momentarily softens as he glances at the white door.
A sigh passes through his lips as he shakes his head. He finds himself standing at the door, hesitating to knock. “It’ll make no difference.” He tells himself, running a hand through his messy hair. The door opens and his gaze snaps up. “Sir, are you here to visit her?” Nodding, he steps aside for the nurse to pass him.
Upon entering the room his shoulders drop at the sight of the woman. Her face abnormally pale, eyes glazed over. “Where have you been, young man.” He smiles at the sound of his mother’s voice, kind and gentle. “I...I went for a walk.” His stomach churns as he spits out the lie. “At this time?” He can’t tell her the truth, her condition is already worsening and she doesn’t need another thing to stress her.
“Yes...and I brought you this.” Opening his jacket he reveals the fully bloomed red rose. Her eyes lit up at the sight, after all, she hadn’t been outside in months. “It’s beautiful.” Her dainty hands take the gift from his gloved ones. “Has he come to see you?” Inquisitively, one of her brows raise. “Father.” He states in an displeased tone. She stares down at the pastel quilt for a moment. “Yes, he has.” Without him noticing she tucks away the papers littered with inked words that she’d been reading previously.
She has her own secrets as her son does, that neither of them would ever speak.

How does Lord Capulet's reaction to Juliet's ""death"" contradict his earlier actions towards her?
Answer:
His reaction towards her death totally contradicts his reaction towards her earlier.
Earlier on, he was very mad at her that she was refusing to marry Paris and even threatened to disown her and throw her into the streets. But when she was found dead, he mourns loudly.
Explanation:
This is about the novel Romeo and Juliet.
It is a tragic- romance written by William Shakespeare about two young Italians who are in love but had their families totally against their union. In a desperate attempt to be together and avoid marriage to Paris ( her father’s choice), Juliet fakes her death so she could run away with Romeo. But when Romeo finds her, he thinks she is dead and takes his own life. Juliet wakes up and takes her own life too saying she wants to reunite with her love.
Lord Capulet is Juliet’s father. He was extremely harsh to her before her “death” and even threatened to throw her out because she was refusing to marry Paris.
But when she was found dead, he begins to mourn loudly this;
“ O child! O child! my soul, and not my child! / Dead art thou, dead! alack, my child is dead, / And with my child my joys are buried!”
This shows a huge contradiction in his actions towards her and his reaction to her death.
Lord Capulet's response towards her passing thoroughly goes against his response towards her prior. Prior on, he was exceptionally distraught at her that she was declining to wed Paris and, surprisingly, took steps to repudiate her and toss her into the roads. In any case, when she was observed dead, he grieves uproariously.
What is storyline of Romeo and Juliet. It is a grievous sentiment composed by William Shakespeare around two youthful Italians who are enamored however had their families absolutely against their association.
In a frantic endeavor to be together and stay away from union with Paris her dad's decision, Juliet fakes her passing so she could flee with Romeo. However, when Romeo observes her, he thinks she is dead and ends his own life. Juliet awakens and ends her own life also saying she needs to rejoin with her adoration.
Master Capulet is Juliet's dad. He was very cruel to her before her "demise" and, surprisingly, took steps to toss her out on the grounds that she was declining to wed Paris.Yet, when she was observed dead, he starts to grieve noisily this;" O kid! O kid! my spirit, and not my kid! Dead craftsmanship thou, dead! alack, my kid is dead,a nd with my youngster my delights are covered!"
This shows a tremendous inconsistency in his activities towards her and his response to her demise.

Choose the correct sentence
A. The students who enjoyed the poetry class frequently gave the instructor presents.
B. The students who frequently enjoyed the poetry class gave the instructor presents
I put c and it was wrong?? Was that a mistake
Answer:
Out of your answers, it is probably A.
Explanation:
Consider this:
"The students who enjoyed the poetry class frequently gave the instructor presents."
This is correct because we do not use "frequently" to describe the students enjoying the class. It's not like they are counting how many times they are enjoying the class and then giving a gift based off of that.
The students are being described as those who enjoyed the poetry class, and then the sentence states they frequently gave the instructor presents based off of them enjoying the class.
"The students who frequently enjoyed the poetry class gave the instructor presents."
This sentence is more confusing than A, at least to me. Usually we don't say someone "frequently enjoys" something, unless we were referring to their hobbies or something, but that's unlikely. Usually, if you enjoy something, you can just say you enjoy it rather than you frequently enjoy it.

Explanation:
COLLABORATIVE DISCUSSION Why does Noda have mixed feelings about her family? Discuss this question with a partner , citing evidence from the essay that shows both positive and negative feelings .
Hello. You did not enter the text to which this question refers, which makes it impossible for your question to be answered. However, when searching for your question on the internet, I was able to find another question exactly the same as yours, which showed that the text in question was “Growing Up Asian in America”.
"Growing Up Asian in America" tells the story of Noda, an American girl who has Japanese ancestry and who has difficulties in associating the two cultures to which she is inserted. She has mixed feelings about her family because she doesn't understand why, even in America, her parents prefer to maintain Japanese traditions and act as if they prefer the Japanese culture and are more proud of it than American culture.
Noda did not feel Japanese, for her the American influence was very strong and that was what she identified with. This was negative because it prevented her from knowing all the cultural wealth that the Japanese side of the family could provide, but we can also see this in a positive way if we think that she was able to create a cultural identity, even though she was of Asian descent.
Noda's confusion about her family started to change when she understood the family's suffering during the war and how being Japanese hurt them a lot in the USA, but it also gave them a lot of strength to overcome all problems. This overcoming strength was what made her see her Japanese side with other eyes and was very proud to be Japanese, in addition to being American.

Which word BEST completes the sentenc
truce
pact
treaty
alliance
My Progress >
Answer:
Truce.
Explanation:
A truce is an agreement between parties to stop fighting or any form of disagreement over an issue. In other words, when two or more parties agree to stop, though mostly temporary, their disagreement over a short period of time, it is called a truce.
In the given scenario, the narrator and her best friend Sol made the temporary agreement to be happy with each other's success even if that meant the other fails. This sportsmanship, where one is happy for the other's success even if one fails, shows the true nature of their friendship.
Thus, the correct answer is truce.
