Answer 2

Answer:

Is the book Dr. Jekyll & Hyde? The answer is below.

Explanation:

Overall, the results of Jekyll’s experiment were only successful due to an error. So let's look at another book.

Dr. Frankenstein’s story seemed to say that the reader can learn from their mistakes and the experiment can be successfully recreated, but Dr. Jekyll stumbles upon his creation and an abnormal ingredient which leads to just a one time occurrence.

The potion exceeded his expectations. He did not calculate what might happen by just using a different impurity in the salt...you need evidence.

Hope this helps!

It is a great book. <3 Please give brainliest

Read the passage and answer the question.

[1]Nothing that comes from the desert expresses its extremes better than the unhappy growth of the
tree yuccas.Tormented, thin forests of it stalk drearily in the high mesas, particularly in that
triangular slip that fans out eastward from the meeting of the Sierras and coastwise hills. The
yucca bristles with bayonet-pointed leaves, dull green, growing shaggy with age like an old
[5] man's tangled gray beard, tipped with panicles of foul, greenish blooms. After its death, which is
slow, the ghostly hollow network of its woody skeleton, with hardly power to rot, makes even
the moonlight fearful. But it isn't always this way. Before the yucca has come to flower, while
yet its bloom is a luxurious, creamy, cone-shaped bud of the size of a small cabbage, full of
sugary sap, the Indians twist it deftly out of its fence of daggers and roast the prize for their
[10] own delectation.

Why does the author use the words "bayonet-pointed" (line 4) and "fence of daggers" (line 9) to describe the leaves of the yucca tree?

Can you help me make up a story about my character that says? You are a 27-year-old devout nun who enjoys rock climbing?

Answers

Answer:

Explanation:

The best-known citizen of the Indian hill town of Darjeeling, Tenzing Norkay, is in residence now, though unseasonably, for the year’s climbing in the Himalayas has begun and most of his Sherpa colleagues are off helping Westerners up the peaks. His presence reflects the change that has taken place in his affairs since May 29th of last year, when he and Edmund Hillary stood on the summit of Mount Everest. That feat earned Tenzing a rest from his career as a climber, which had been arduous, and plunged him into a new career, involving contracts, publicity, and politics, which is a good deal more lucrative but which puts him under another kind of strain. Not only is he, like many famous men, unschooled in the ways of publicity but he deals haltingly with English, its lingua franca. Just keeping track of his own life, therefore, demands hard concentration. Tenzing complains that he has lost twenty-four pounds since climbing Everest, and he says—though he probably doesn’t mean it—that if he had foreseen the results, he would never have made the climb. His troubles are compounded by an element of jealousy in Darjeeling—he is to some extent a prophet without honor in his own country—and by a public disagreement, which he is well aware of, as to whether he is a great man or only an able servant. “I thought if I climbed Everest whole world very good,” he said recently. “I never thought like this.”

Tenzing is at everyone’s disposal. He has fixed up a small museum in his Darjeeling flat, exhibiting his gear, trophies, and photographs, and he stands duty there from ten in the morning to four-thirty in the afternoon. He is a handsome man, sunburned and well groomed, with white teeth and a friendly smile, and he usually wears Western clothes of the Alpine sort—perhaps a bright silk scarf, a gray sweater, knee-length breeches, wool stockings, and thick-soled oxfords. These suit him splendidly. Redolent with charm, Tenzing listens intently to questions put to him, in all the accents of English, by tourists who come to look over his display, and answers as best he can, often laughing in embarrassment. He charges no admission fee, but has a collection box for less fortunate Sherpa climbers, and he seems to look on the ordeal as a duty to the Sherpas and to India as a whole. The other day, I, who have been bothering him, too, remarked on the great number of people he receives. “If I don’t,” he answered, “they say I am too big.” And he scratched his head and laughed nervously.

"And speak between the change of man and boy / With reed voice, and turn two mincing steps / Into a manly stride, and speak of frays / Like a fine bragging youth, and tell quaint lies".

This is a little opinionated, but I think it is not a normal thing, but people definitely normalize it. It happens every single day and it is so sad to see.

Explanation:

Answer:

Explanation:

Because America is so diverse you can never really guarantee that something is going to be 100% in one area of the country. For example, America's school system is very odd compared to a lot of other countries considering that 2 schools can be COMPLETELY different even though they are in the same country, state, and district. Back to the question, major cities like NewYork, Dallas, or LA attract people that from different parts of the world, and because of that high population of people that usually have a similar mindset (statistically larger cities vote democratic) meaning that they are more likely to be open to new things especially equality. On the other hand, there are small towns with little population that attract republicans that lean towards extreme racism and conservative mindsets and those towns are considered sundown towns where POC (People Of Color) are not allowed after the sun is down or they will most likely be killed. Now that we got that out of the way the reason why racial discrimination is "normal" in America is because of the subtle things that a lot of people don't normally notice that are caused because of racism. A few examples of that is how African Americans have a huge poverty rate due to never recovering from slavery since it was difficult for them to find jobs because of racist white people. Another example is how some schools do not allow do-rags that cover hair to prevent it from messing up. Some schools even have rules where you can't have certain hairstyles like locs or afros since they are considered "unkempt". Even though there are some things that go on like that in some areas one big thing that is taught to young POC is to be extremely careful around law enforcement as they are known to be racist and potentially hurt your or racially profile you. One last thing is that sometimes you can apply for a job but get denied just because you are POC but you might never know because they don't specifically state that.

So yes, racial discrimination is quite normal and it interferes with daily life for POC.

Answers

Answer:

Medical services is an essential requirement for all people, which is the reason the public authority and medical care authorities ought to focus on it to ensure that everybody has the option to free medical care, paying little heed to different limits. A few instances of being denied this right are orientation, pay, and age which make it hard to access for some all over the planet. It ought to be each country's objective to ensure that individuals don't need to stress over those boundaries and get the consideration they merit.

From 1948, the NHS, or National wellbeing Service has given medical care to the British public. While it isn't in fact without expenses, on the grounds that the cash spent is taken from general society, it is free at the purpose in being conveyed. Presently, over portion of the nations over the WORLD give a feeling of free, widespread medical care, however with one exemption: The US. Be that as it may, they haven't changed the framework, which leaves us with the greatest inquiry of all: Does paying for medical care offer a more prominent support or should all medical services be free?

The incongruity is, that the beginnings of free medical care is squarely in the US! Medical services was recorded in the Second Bill of Rights drafted by Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Unfortunately, FDR's demise held this Second Bill of Rights back from being carried out. Be that as it may, Eleanor Roosevelt, took his work to the United Nations), where it was extended.

The US as of now gives free government funded training, public street upkeep, public regulation authorization, and numerous other public administrations to its residents to advance a fair society. For what reason should medical care be thought of as an "advantage" to have in certain nations and a "right" to have in others? To "give" to the general population, and be a "completely taking an interest resident" free medical services ought to be a right to all, and not just leave families battling to take care of the significant expense of value therapy.

All in all, medical care is a fundamental human need, right, and general society ought to have the option to get to this without considering it an "advantage".

Stay not, be gone; live, and hereafter say,
A madman's mercy bade thee run away.

Read this excerpt from The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling.

Mowgli sprang to his feet. "Free People," he cried, "does Shere Khan lead the Pack? What has a tiger to do with our leadership?"

"Seeing that the leadership is yet open, and being asked to speak – " Shere Khan began.

"By whom?" said Mowgli. "Are we all jackals, to fawn on this cattle butcher? The leadership of the Pack is with the Pack alone."

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
If you can make one heap of all your winnings

Answer:

B) If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue

Explanation:

In the Jungle Book, Shere Khan has the crowd of younger wolves  following him around like the jackals do (because he scares them and also feeds them scraps) and letting him influence them negatively. They are not keeping to the Law of the Jungle, similar to talking "with crowds and not keeping their virtue."

Ionization detectors, the most common units, contain two parallel electrodes that are typically separated by 3 cm with a 5-V potential difference across them. The air molecules between the electrodes are ionized by collisions with helium nuclei that are produced by a radioactive source. Most units are initially fueled with 60 million nuclei of radioactive americium 241 (half-life 430 years). The now-ionized air molecules drift toward one of the electrodes with an average speed of 0.1 m/s and thus support a small current between the two electrodes. Smoke particles that enter and combine with the ions reduce the current and initiate an alarm.Photoelectric detectors, by contrast, contain a light-emitting diode that sends a beam of unpolarized light across a small chamber. The light beam usually has a wavelength of 6.0 107m and has an intensity of 1.0 103 W. When smoke particles enter the chamber, the light scatters in all directions. A photocell then senses either the increase in the scattered light or the reduced intensity of the light beam and sets off the alarm. The speed of light in air is 3.0 108 m/s.Ionization detectors respond faster to the large smoke particles of flaming fires; photoelectric detectors sense the small particles of smoldering fires more quickly.
