Read the excerpt from The Dark Game.

On January 16, 1917, in a clear attempt to convince the Mexican government to help Germany in the war, Arthur Zimmermann, the German foreign secretary, sent a telegram to Count von Bernstorff, the German ambassador in Washington. The foreign secretary wanted to be certain that this message reached von Bernstorff, so he made arrangements for it to be carried aboard a U-boat to Sweden and from there to Washington through diplomatic channels.
As luck would have it, the departure of the sub was delayed. Impatient, Zimmermann turned to his second option: sending the message to his ambassador through the U.S. State Department. Although Wilson considered the United States to be neutral, he allowed messages to be sent to von Bernstorff via the State Department as a courtesy. The telegram sent, Zimmermann waited for a reply. What Zimmermann didn't know was that the British were doing a thorough job of intercepting German wireless transmissions.

Why did Zimmermann choose to send the message through the U.S. State Department?

The German U-boat was grounded because it needed repairs.
The Americans planned to enter the war and side with the Germans.
The content of the message was extraordinarily important.
The safest way of transmitting messages was by telegram.

Choose a major character from The Crucible, and using the French and Raven's Five Forms of Power article, evaluate how that character assumes, utilizes, and maintains (or loses) power throughout the play. What power bases do they use? How do they use them? How could they have used a different power base to act with more humanity in the story and mitigate, or lessen, the abuse of power by themselves or other characters in the play? Make sure that you refer to your character's development of power throughout the play. Cite your evidence from at least two acts of the play. Make sure that all your assertions are documented by correctly cited facts (quotes) from your sources, and that all assertions are supported with the quote and your rationale. The rationale should backup, or defend, your assertion(s).

A set of instruction for mouth to mouth respiration

Answers

Answer:

1.Gently tilt the person's head back. ...

2.Place your other hand on their forehead and pinch their nose with your index finger (pointer finger) and thumb.

3.Take a normal breath, cover and seal their open mouth with yours, and blow into their mouth for about one second.

Explanation:

One should associate casket condensing with mouth-to-mouth reanimation– at a rate of “30 to 2”.

After befitting 30 casket condensing, you carry the insensible person with  two deliverance breathers, succeeded by 30 casket condensing, and accordingly on. It’s veritably significant to carry the delivery  interruptions snappily, so you don’t intrude the casket condensing for elongate respiration.

The deliverance breaths shouldn’t take longer than ten seconds in aggregate. This is how to offer mouth-to-mouth reanimation. Gently lean the person’s head back. Apply one hand to grip their chin and swipe it up, also observe their mouth open using your thumb.

Fix your other hand on their forepart and pinch their nose with your indicator cutlet (hand tick) and thumb. Take a common breath, cover and fasten their open mouth with yours, and blow into their mouth for around one alternate.

Their chest should get up visibly when you breathe into their mouth, and sink over as directly as you shift down.

He had constructed a model of the windmill these lines from "True Stories of History and Biography" use a tone that reveals Hawthorne's attitude toward Isaac Newton. The correct option is C.

What was Isaac Newton's education like?

He was a student at Free Grammar. Newton was given the chance to attend Trinity College Cambridge, where he wanted to study law, despite his lack of academic excellence. His mother balked at paying for his education, so he had to work as a servant while in college to make ends meet.

The aforementioned phrase demonstrates Hawthorne's intense attitude toward Isaac Newton. This sentence demonstrates how much he respected him for his contributions and current relevance. Hawthorne describes Newton as having "left a fame behind that would be as bearable as if his name were written... midnight sky" because of this.

Essay on Child Labour :-

Childhood is perhaps the most enjoyable & memorable period of our life. We experience a lot of wonderful moments during our childhood. It’s also the time when one learns about the basic strategy of life from parents, loved ones and nature. While this is the case for many of us there are some other children who aren’t privileged to enjoy their childhood. Children especially in the rural background have to work in order to support their poor families financially. These children from the ages of 5 – 14 are often employed in industries, mines or factories where they’ve do work that are not suitable or are too dangerous for their age & this is known as child labour. Hence, they do not enjoy their childhood & also miss basic school education which they should have received. While factory owners are usually put to blame, parents of these children are equally responsible for child labour. Parents from poor families aren’t educated & thus see no reason for why their kids should be educated. They don’t seem to understand that if proper education is given to these kids, they would perhaps make more money & also would be an asset for the economy of the country. But unluckily some parents don’t understand this. So, these children are sent to work at a tender age to make money. This interferes with the ability to attend regular school which makes them a liability for the country. Though awareness on this issue has been spreading a lot these days, child labour is still followed in many nations even though everyone knows it’s a big offense. Many industries use child labour at a high level to get more work at low labour cost. Child Labour is a very serious crime & a huge social obstacle that needs to be resolved on an instant basis with the help of educated citizens and the government. This illegal activity of child labour is increasing day by day even after several rules and regulations by the government to completely ban the performance of child labour. The issue of child labour is now an international concern as it is highly involved in inhibiting the growth and development of the country. Healthy children are the bright future and power of any country. So, I believe it’s time that everyone came to realize that child labour hurts, spoils and destroys the future of children and ultimately the country.

Thank you.
