The containers for milk are always square boxes, containers for mineral water are always round bottles, and round wine bottles are usually placed in square boxes. Write a statement on the subtle philosophy of the round and square.

Answers

Hello there! :D

So, here is my philosophy about this:

Many times products are shaped and marketed for functionality. What would best suit the consumer? Keep that in mind.

Do people usually drink milk from the jug? No. Do people usually drink out of mineral water bottles? Yes!

The shape of each product is based on function. We poor milk into glasses and cereal bowls, we need to stack round wine bottles so we put them in square boxes. The shapes have a function. We would rather hold something round than something pointy and square (more awkward). So, in reality, containers and packaging are always suited to the most feasible function and shape for the consumer. If you ever work at a packaging company, that is something you would learn a whole lot about!

I hope this helped you and you have a really awesome day,

I was left alone in the room for M-E-N. I examined it with great care—the smooth enamel bowl with water in the bottom, the wooden lid with a large hole that looked like a horse collar, the small brown box up near the ceiling, the chain hanging from it. Pressed for time, I finally decided it was safe enough to try.

Answers

Answer:

Transformation of the narrator is the correct answer :)

The author uses a  metaphor to describe the transformation of the narrator. Hence, Option B is the correct statement.

Who is a narrator?

The person who tells a story from their point of view is the narrator. The text is narrated by the narrator.

Only fictional works or narrative poems contain a narrator. A narrator does not necessarily have to be one of the characters in the text; they could be.

Narrating a story, or telling it, is the purpose of a narrator. The perspective of the text is determined by what the narrator can and cannot see, which also affects how much the reader is aware of.

Different narrators can be found in various types of stories. The audience can only "see" what the narrator sees, so the type of narrator affects how much the audience knows.

Hence,  The author uses a  metaphor to describe the transformation of the narrator. Option B is the correct statement.

What compelled the Grimms to concentrate on old German epics, tales, and literature was a belief that the most natural and pure forms of culture—those which held the community together—were linguistic and based in history. In Walt Whitman's "I Hear America Singing," the term singing is repeated several times for dramatic effect. How would you describe the type of "songs" that the carpenter and others in the poem are "singing"? Use examples from the text to support your answer.

Answers

Answer and Explanation:

Walt Whitman was an American poet who lived from 1819 to 1892. He is, to this day, considered to be one of the greatest writers in America. In his poem "I Hear America Singing", the working class is singing a song. Each one - the mechanic, the seamstress, the mason, the carpenter - sings a unique song, a song of their own individuality.

Those of mechanics, each one singing his as it should be blithe and strong,

The carpenter singing his as he measures his plank or beam,

The mason singing his as he makes ready for work, or leaves off work,

[...]

Each singing what belongs to him or her and to none else,

However, it is this uniqueness that constitutes America, that contributes to make it the great country it is. No wonder Whitman makes a point of repeating the term "singing" throughout the poem. He is describing a symphony of voices, hearts, dreams, and ideals. Each person sings of his or her own life, happiness, strength.

or

"One evening a terrible storm came on; there was thunder and lightning, and the rain poured down in torrents."

Explanation:

The first one shows the girl in a poor state. One would assume that she is just an ordinary girl in need of help. But it foreshadows that she may be a princess. (More than just an ordinary girl). Looks can be deceiving.

and the second quotation portrays that it is a bad moment in the text because it is grey and raining. "Torrents" has a negative connotation, hinting towards the fact that this kind of weather is sad and depressing and nothing good can possibly come out of it. But looks can be deceiving. The sad prince might find his princess and this sad moment might become a happy one.
