How Roses Got Their Thorns.

Many years ago ,in the land of Lucia, there was a beautiful queen named —————. Queen —————lived in a century old castle surrounded by a forest on the north side,a maze on the east side, a fountain on the west side and a rose garden on the south side. Her private living quarters had a large window facing the south. Each morning she would start her day by opening her window to the sweet aroma coming from her rose garden. She had a special servant whose only job was to care for her roses. Queen ———- rose garden was her favorite place and every day she would spend time there relaxing and caring for her lovely blooms. Her garden was world famous and people came from miles around to visit and enjoy their beauty and lovely fragrance.
One day she notice there were fewer blooms than usual and she became concerned. She thought her servant was not doing his job,so she obtained a new gardener. The blooms continued to disappear and then she noticed that plants were starting to disappear. Finally, she had some of her servants start guarding the roses. They discovered that the visitors were picking and digging up her roses. She loved sharing the beauty of her garden with her subjects but she had to find a way to protect her roses . Several attempts were tried to protect the. She had a fence built,but the people knocked it down. She had a wall built but they climbed over it. She put guards around but the guards could not be everywhere and the people continued to take her roses . Finally, she sought the advice the local wizard . His solution was to put a curse on the roses. Queen———-agreed to a curse as long as it did not affect the aroma or the beauty of them Beginning that day the loveliest of flowers started growing thorns and still do. P

A box of facial tissue has a volume of 180 cubic inches. What is the width of the box if the height was 4 inches, and the length was 9 inches?

Answers

Answer:

The width of the box is 5 in

Step-by-step explanation:

the formula for the volume of a rectangular box of length L, width W and height H is V = L*W*H.  Here we know V, L and H and want to find W.  Solving this equation for W, we get W = V/(LH).

With V = 180 in^3, H = 4 in and L = 9 in, W comes out to be

            180 in^3

  W = ------------------ = 5 in

            (4 in)(9 in)

The width of the box is 5 in

Answer:

Solution :-

We have

[tex] \begin{cases} \sf Volume = \frak{480 \: cu \: cm}\\ \sf Length = \frak{4 \: in} \\ \sf Height = \frak{4 \: in}\end{cases}[/tex]

Volume = lbh

180 = 9 × b × 4

180 = 36b

180/36 = b

5 = b

Therefore,

Breadth is 5 in

Dots sells T-shirts ($5) and shorts ($8). In April, total sales were $560. People bought 4 times as many T-shirts as shorts.

Answers

Answer:

Number of T-shirts sold = 80 and number of shorts sold = 20

Step-by-step explanation:

This question is incomplete. If we have to calculate the number of shirts and T-shirts sold by Dots then we will calculate this question as below.

Let the number of shorts sold = s

And the number of T-shirts sold = T

Dots sells T-shirts at $5 and shots at $8 in April.

Equation for this situation will be,

5T + 8s = 560 -----(1)

Number of T-shirts sold are 4 times the shorts,

T = 4s ----- (2)

By substituting the value of T from equation (2) in equation (1),

5(4s) + 8s = 560

20s + 8s = 560

28s = 560

s = 20

From equation (2),

T = 4(20)

T = 80

Number of T-shirts sold = 80 and number of shorts sold = 20

Answers

Answer:

+ bx + c, a = 1, you must find 2 numbers that multiply to c and that add to b. Two numbers that multiply to -500 and add to +5 are +25 and -20

0 = (x + 25)(x - 20)

x = -25 and 20

Since a negative length is impossible, the width mesures 20 meters and the length measures 25 meters.

What is her error? Explain. Because there are choices for the first item and for the second, there are possible outcomes.

Answers

Answer:

The explanation is given below

Step-by-step explanation:

Her error is that she multiplied the possibilities of her meal that involves eggs with milk, granola & oatmeal but the possibilities involves orange juice with egg and granola & oatmeal

Now

If she choose milk so she can select eggs, granola, and oatmeal so there are 3 possibilities also with the orange juice there is 3 possibilities

So, the sample space is
