Write a story which includes the words: “I was lucky that I ran as quickly as I did.”

Answers

Answer 1

Answer: On the day of my class 10th practical examination, I had preparations in full swing. I had sorted my test tube kit, kept my lab coat, and even packed my bag the night before.

But unfortunately, our school bus tyre got punctured. I could not afford to get late. My mom-dad were also out of town for some office work. I was terribly confused what to do.

Then I saw the BRTS City Bus. I knew that bus number 5 has a stop near my school. It was lucky that I ran as fast as I did.

The bus dropped me school in time. I was able to perform my practical nicely and scored good marks.

Istherearealdifferencebetween knowledge and opinion? If you think there is, defend your view of what it is and why it matters or not whether we know anything. If you think there isn’t, justify your answer against those who claim there is and explain the most important implications of your answer

Answers

I believe there is a difference between knowledge and opinion. Usually opinions are formed on a topic based on what knowledge you have of whichever topic that may be. Knowledge over a subject can also provide you with factual information whereas an opinion can just be based on what you believe.

Similes and metaphors differences?

Answers

Answer:

Explanation:

A simile is saying something is like something else. A metaphor is often poetically saying something is something else. An analogy is saying something is like something else to make some sort of an explanatory point. You can use metaphors and similes when creating an analogy. A simile is a type of metaphor.
Two of the most famous methods that work very well are similes and metaphors. Both of them are widely used by writers to create mental images for their readers and make their texts more lively and interesting.

SIMILE: A comparison of two different things using the words, “like” or “as”.
Example: As tall as a giraffe.
Life is like a camera

METAPHOR: A comparison of two different things that DOES NOT use words “like” or “as”
Example: My mom is a teddy bear.
Life is a game.

HELP FAST PLS
Read the paragraph below.
I urge all students at Centralia High to come to the gymnasium tomorrow afternoon for Tech-Free Friday. While we can all
agree that modern technology is useful and enjoyable, the constant stimulation that we all face every day is overwhelming. Many of us
are plugged in to some device—a computer, a tablet, or a cell phone - every moment we're awake. That doesn't allow us time to think
things through to make healthy lifestyle choices, or to develop new hobbies, new social skills, and new friendships. Even if you believe
that constant connection isn't a problem, I encourage you to try the alternative. Come by the gym, get together with your fellow
students, and enjoy a Tech-Free Friday! I guarantee you'll "like" it.
Which of the following sentences provide factual supporting evidence for the author's argument? Select TWO that apply.

С.
Seventy percent of students surveyed reported that checking for new texts or other messages kept them from getting a good night's sleep
D
It's annoying to hold a conversation with someone who is constantly checking his or her phone
