The rescue of oiled wildlife impacted by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill continues to be an important mission for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. These numbers are subject to verification and cannot be considered final. Of the dead birds, the largest numbers are laughing gulls, followed by brown pelicans and northern gannets.

Plato was a student of the Greek philosopher, Socrates. He recorded many conversations between Socrates and the men of Athens in the 5th century A.D. These conversations often took a form that has come to be known as the Socratic Method, as Socrates asked questions and added examples to lead his companions to draw correct conclusions about such concepts as virtue, beauty, friendship, truth, and justice.
