Answer: sentence 2

Explanation:

The sentence in the paragraph states a claim, however, a dog can be a dangerous addition to a family with small children. The correct option is c, sentence 2.

What is a claim?

A claim is a statement that is given with proof and evidence. A claim is a generalization or an assertion about the text that needs support or more explanation. It blends a point of view with a topic.

The smallest expression that can express a complete thought is a simple claim (something capable of being true or false). An assertion must be debatable but presented as fact.

It cannot only be a matter of feeling or opinion; it must be subject to examination and support from facts. Your writing's objectives, focus, and range are all outlined in a claim. A strong argument is concentrated and specific in its claim.

Therefore, the correct option is c. sentence 2.
