What happened during the
American Revolution?

Answers

Answer:

American Revolution, also called United States War of Independence or American Revolutionary War, (1775–83), insurrection by which 13 of Great Britain’s North American colonies won political independence and went on to form the United States of America. The war followed more than a decade of growing estrangement between the British crown and a large and influential segment of its North American colonies that was caused by British attempts to assert greater control over colonial affairs after having long adhered to a policy of salutary neglect. Until early in 1778 the conflict was a civil war within the British Empire, but afterward it became an international war as France (in 1778) and Spain (in 1779) joined the colonies against Britain. Meanwhile, the Netherlands, which provided both official recognition of the United States and financial support for it, was engaged in its own war against Britain. From the beginning, sea power was vital in determining the course of the war, lending to British strategy a flexibility that helped compensate for the comparatively small numbers of troops sent to America and ultimately enabling the French to help bring about the final British surrender at Yorktown.

define sons and daughters of liberty

Answers

noun) The Sons of Liberty was a group consisting of American patriots that originated in the pre-independence North American British colonies.

Hope it’s right
Best luck with your studying

Explanation:

They were the ones who were not afraid. They knew instinctively that talk and politics alone would not bring an end to British tyranny. They were willing to resort to extralegal means if necessary to end this series of injustices. They were American patriots — northern and southern, young and old, male and female. They were the Sons and Daughters of Liberty.

Like other secret clubs at the time, the Sons of Liberty had many rituals. They had secret code words, medals, and symbols. Originally formed in response to the Stamp Act, their activities were far more than ceremonial. It was the Sons of Liberty who ransacked houses of British officials. Threats and intimidation were their weapons against tax collectors, causing many to flee town. Images of unpopular figures might be hanged and burned in effigy on the town's LIBERTY TREE. Offenders might be covered in warm tar and blanketed in a coat of feathers.

Another important function of the Sons of Liberty was correspondence. These clubs could be found up and down the colonial seaboard. Often they coordinated their activities. Like the public Congresses that would be convened, this private band of societies provided an intercolonial network that would help forge unity. It should come as no surprise that the members of the Sons of Liberty and the delegates to the various Congresses were at times one and the same.

The Daughters of Liberty performed equally important functions. Once nonimportation became the decided course of action, there was a natural textile shortage. Mass spinning bees were organized in various colonial cities to make homespun substitutes. Since women often purchased consumer goods for the home, the Daughters of Liberty became instrumental in upholding the boycott, particularly where tea was concerned. The most zealous Daughters of Liberty refused to accept gentleman callers for themselves or their daughters who were not sympathetic to the patriot cause.

Of course, the winners write the history books. Had the American Revolution failed, the Sons and Daughters of Liberty would no doubt be regarded as a band of thugs, or at the very least, outspoken troublemakers. History will be on their sides, however. These individuals risked their lives and reputations to fight against tyranny. In the end, they are remembered as heroes.

Explanation:

Describe at least 4 important differences between the North and South in the period leading up to the Civil War.
Based on those differences, make a prediction. Who do you think would have been more likely (had more advantages) to win the war? Why? *

Pls really answer this question, I don't really have the brain cells to think rn

Answers

I wish I could help you.

Answer:

In my personal opinion, I think the Union(North) would win over the Confederacy(South)

I will group into several reasons

1. Resources/economy

The North obviously had a more wide variety of economical resources compared to the south. The South only relied on their cotton resources from slavery which is bad. Relying on a single type of resource means there wouldn't be any backups.

2. Numbers/troops

Now 11 states had left the Union and realistically they would have about a million total. Obviously, Union still had more number in shear troops almost doubled the Confederacy.

3. Strategies/Military leader

While Union did have more numbers of soldiers the Confederacy had better strategic military leaders like Stonewall Jackson. The Union had a weaker leadership compared to the Confederacy leading them to change their leaders multiple times.

4. Setting/places battles took

During the Civil War, the majority of the battles were in the Southern lands and the Union later took advantage of this. One of the military leaders Ulysses S. Grant used a battle strategy called total war. It was basically a strategy to burn or destroy any kind of valuable resources in the Southern's land. Now like I said before the only resources Southern relied on was cotton and the total war strategy was harsh on them.

Answer:

The ITA believes that fair-trade policies allow countries to import and export freely, allowing consumers to save money. It will also create economic opportunities that will help to improve economies in other countries, which could contribute to solving global issues like poverty. To meet these goals, the ITA believes that trade barriers need to be eliminated. The second question just select all three.
