Assignment Directions:
Write an essay of no less than 200 words about how drugs and alcohol can affect the body and make you unable to participate in sports and fitness-related activities.
Assignment Guidelines:
Include your own ideas about how to say "no" to your peers if they offer you drugs as a means of "fitting in."
Answer:
Drugs and alcohol can effect the body in many ways. These include, the slowing of reactions, the speeding up of reactions, and all of the side effects that also come with drugs, and alchol. A common drug is caffine. When caffiene enters the digestive system it takes about 30 mintues to make it's way past it, and into the blood stream. The caffine enters cells and blocks something called adenosine. This is the molocule responsible for making us feel tired. This drug, and many other follow that path. They also tend to have the same effects, in varying amounts.
There are three typical classifications of drugs. These include Hallcinogens, Uppers, and Downers. Hallicongoens include heroine. These drugs give their users and experience that they could never have without them. As their name suggest, they hallucinate. They see images, stories, and even mental videos as if they were actually happening. Uppers exicte a person. These are the drugs that make you feel like you can do anything. They give you a false sense of energy. Downers include marjauna, and alcohol. The effect of these are a feeling of calm, and peacefulness.
With those descriptions drugs might sound enticing. However, they have many negative effects. These include heart disease, heart attacks, the progression of cancers, weight loss, weight gain, unproductivness, and uncontrollale behaivor. All of the effects that I just mentioned will keep one from being able to play sports. You can run a relay when your heart is failing because of drugs, or alcohol. An idea to keep away from drugs is to find freinds who are also drug, and alcohol free.

Mutation in the genes of an organism is a cause. What is a possible
effect?
Answer:
Radiation
Explanation:
Mutations that are harmful can result in cancer or genetic diseases. A genetic disorder is a condition brought on by a change in one or more genes.
What is cause and effect?Cause and effect states that events take place as a result of an external stimulus. A cause is the reason something occurs. What took place was an effect.
A cause is a gene mutation in an organism. These are some potential outcomes:
A single gene mutation causes the body to create thick, sticky mucus that obstructs digestive organ ducts and clogs the lungs.Cancer or genetic illnesses can originate from dangerous mutations. An illness caused by a change in one or more genes is referred to as a genetic disorder. For the most part, mutations have no discernible impact on the organisms in which they arise. Natural selection may increase the frequency of advantageous mutations. Mutations that are harmful can result in cancer or genetic diseases. Thus, these are the possible effects of mutation.

please differentiate metals, metalloids,non-metals,noble gas
Answer:
Metals: Metals are elements having the highest degree of metallic behavior. Metals are found in the left side of the periodic table. They have a characteristic metallic appearance known as luster or shine. Ductility and malleability is a main feature of metals. Malleability refers to a metal’s ability to deform under pressure and ductility refers to its ability to be drawn into wire-like structures.
Metalloids: Metalloids are elements having a low degree of metallic behavior. Metalloids show some metallic properties and some nonmetal properties. The appearance of metalloids can be either dull or shiny. Although they are not excellent thermal and electrical conductors, metalloids are capable of conducting heat and electricity.
Non-Metals: Nonmetals are elements showing less or no metallic properties. Nonmetals have very distinct properties than those of metals and metalloids. Typically nonmetals have a dull appearance since they do not have a metallic appearance.
Noble Gas: The noble gases (historically also the inert gases; sometimes referred to as aerogenes[1]) make up a class of chemical elements with similar properties; under standard conditions, they are all odorless, colorless, monatomic gases with very low chemical reactivity.

Social and emotional maturity are intertwined. Therefore, as teens’ emotional maturity increases, their relationships with their peers change as they become more vulnerable and emotionally intimate with their peers. This increased vulnerability and intimacy requires greater trust among peers. Thus, during the adolescent years, teen peer groups become increasingly important as teens experience more closeness in these friendships and more gratifying relationships with their peers as a result. Teens now turn to one another, instead of their families, as their first line of support during times of worry or upset. This increased reliance on friendships is yet another way that teens demonstrate their growing independence. – “Teens and Peer Relationships,” Angela Oswalt

two purple offspring from f1 reproduce. in the box below, list the potential genotypes of F2.
Answer:
BB, Bb, bb
Explanation:
F1 refers to the first filial generation, and F2 refers to the second filial generation. The first generation consists of the offspring from the parents (in the given case, the two Bb purple plants). The second generation will consist of the plants produced by interbreeding the plants from the first generation.
In total, there are three purple plants in the first generation. Two of them have Bb genotype, and one has BB. This means that we should breed two Bb plants and one Bb with one BB plant to solve the question.

B BB Bb
b Bb bb
B B
B BB BB
b Bb Bb
Based on this, we can conclude that genotypes we can get by breeding purple offspring from the first generation are BB, Bb, and bb.
