what are some meaningful connections you made while reading the book "the fault in our stars"?

Answers

Answer 1
A: The book “the fault in our stars” made me look introspectively, and connect the character’s lives to my own. The character’s struggles with mortality and living life to the fullest made me reflect on my life and wonder if I am truly appreciating it and experiencing all life has to offer. I also made the connection between the author’s inability to answer Hazel’s questions about the book, and how there were no answers for the problems in Hazel’s life. She was frustrated that there was seemingly no reasoning behind the author’s writing, just like there was no reason she had cancer, or that she was in this situation. Her anger towards the author symbolized a deeper anger that she would never truly “have answers” and that her life would never truly be fulfilled because she was going to die at such a young age.

I didn’t exactly know if you meant meaningful connections within the story or meaningful connections to your person life but I hope this helped!

Chapter 17 / To Kill A Mockingbird

Answers

Answer:

They live behind the town dump. Economically and socially, they are at the bottom among Maycomb's white population.

Explanation:

In "To Kill a Mockingbird," by Harper Lee, the Ewells are a poor white family living in a shack behind the town dump. They would even go to the dump to look for food, water, and anything of value they could find. They living in those conditions and in that area makes it clear that they are from the lowest class of Maycomb's white population.

Read the following paragraph.

Macy was nervous. She had never attended such a formal dinner before. People were speaking in low voices. The matching plates, bowls, glasses, and cutlery were laid out perfectly. Macy had no idea which of the two forks she needed to use first. Dinner at her house was always relaxed with everyone talking and laughing loudly about the events of the day. Most of the time their plates didn’t even match, and the napkins were always made of paper. Macy took the cloth napkin and placed it on her lap, just like she had just seen her friend do. So far, so good. Hopefully, she could copy her friend for the rest of dinner.

Answers

Answer:

whether Hamlet and Laertes actually duel or not

Explanation:

The "moment of final suspense" in Hamlet was the scene where the audience didn't know whether Hamlet and Laertes would actually duel or not.

This is because Hamlet does not think his uncle Claudius would be able to plot another plan against him through the duel that would eventually end up costing him his life. As a result of this, Hamlet duels with Laertes and ends up being killed.

There are many benefits that come along with controlled burning. Firefighters use controlled burning for numerous reasons as it can also help prevent fires from starting or prevent an already burning fire from spreading. Controlled burnings are a good thing, as in the long run it can help protect animals, plants, humans, and buildings from being damaged.

If you take a look at the fires that happened in 2020 in Australia it resulted in a large portion of the country being damaged. With these fires, there were many animals that were either killed or injured as they weren't able to escape the fires, and also the plants/ forests that were in those areas were burnt down and destroyed. Fires are something that are unpredictable as they can change directions within a moments notice leading to the fire fighters that are fighting it to be unprepared and put in a tough situation to try and get it under control.

With controlled burning it means that it is a planned fire in a certain area at a certain time of day that is normally picked out around the weather. With these planned burnings firefighter normally choose a day in which there will be little to no wind so that there is a less chance that the fire will unpredictable. The area that they choose it picked normally in fire hazardous areas to help prevent a fire that is unplanned from starting.

Planned burning is important to help prevent fires from starting and help keep the wildlife safe as well as homes and people. Without planned burnings there would most likely be more fires which can go on for many days causing damages wherever it travels to. Also, it is a lot cheaper for the government if they have scheduled burnings than a random fire starting as it takes more resources and time to fight off a burning fire that can change its course and continue for several days.

Overall, there is many benefits that come along with planned burnings and without them there would be most likely more fires and more damage. Also, more firefighters would be put in danger with an unplanned fire as they are placed in terrain that they aren't familiar with. Planned burnings are there for a reason and with it you would be able to help prevent the wildlife from being harmed with a little controlled burning in fire hazard areas.
