Onomatopoeia is
A
using the same sound to start several words.
B
using words to mimic sounds.
с
repeating a word or phrase.
D
exaggerating for effect.
Answer:
B . Using words to mimic sounds.
Explanation:
Onomatopoeia is the formation of words resembling the sound it produces. In other words, when words are formed from the very same sound produced is known as onomatopoeia.
This means that the sound and the corresponding words have the same origin. For example, sounds such as hiss, smash, pop, wow, growl, bang, etc. are formed from the source or sound of the very words. So, such words are known as onomatopoeic words.
Thus, the correct answer is option B.
5. How does the poet use personification to describe Chicago?
Answer:
★ The personification sometimes shifts to making Chicago a specific type of worker, but overall, the poem likens Chicago to a man. The thing to keep in mind is that when the narrator talks about something or someone laughing or having shoulders, the narrator is actually describing Chicago. If you need a good example of the poem's personification, I would look to lines that are found near the end.

Very off topic but can anyone write a 3 paragraph essay to my mom on why I should be allowed to have an Airsoft gun
Answer:
yes
Explanation:
I don't own an airsoft gun, but I DO know that airsoft is such a fun game. To become a pro at airsoft, one must practice targets and stelth. Now you could just practice at an arena, but it would be even better to have your own gun to practice with. Yes having a gun does seem dangerous, but with THIS gun, the whole goal is to shoot your opponents. The airsoft gun does hurt when one gets shot with one, but that's the whole point. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger am I right? Now I have been shot by an airsoft pro(aka my Dad), and yes the pain of a tiny pebble can be shocking since it's so smol, but it's kinda the same feeling as when a grasshopper hits your legs while you are driving on a motorcycle(which happens all the time to me lol). This is why when one plays airsoft, they wear clothing to protect themselves from the pain. Once I learned my lesson from wearing thin jeans, I wore two pairs of jeans the next time I played. And may I just say that the next time I got shot, it didn't hurt that much. In conclusion, the airsoft gun isn't that dangerous of a gun. Probably one of the least dangerous guns. It is only strong enough to kill a bug, and it's not strong enough to kill small animals(except maybe mice). To be honest, I think it is a great idea to let a kid have a gun so he/she could learn how to use it properly. If a kid never learns how to use a gun, they may not know how to defend themselves from wild animals or crazy people(which in the future there will be WAY more crazy people :/). You should get your kid an airsoft gun, and teach him/her the proper way to use it. It's the right thing to do. :)
Answer:
Yes
Why I should get a airsoft gun.
Airsoft is fun active sport that requires teamwork and skill with the added bonus of the guns. Yes you can get injured in airsoft but like any sport you can. As long as I use the right equipment I will safe. I under stand the dangers of the sport but there are dangers in everything. I feel that I should get an airsoft gun.(your reasons) Thats why I should get a airsoft gun.

Which line completes the quatrain's rhyme scheme?
My vigil lasts 'til every stone is thrown
O The shore's a backdrop for my lonely day
My feet are buried treasures on the shore
The waves remind me it's not time to go SOMeone help??
Answer: The shore's a backdrop for my lonely day.
Explanation:
This quatrain's rhyme scheme is such that a line must rhyme with the line that follows after the next line. This is why lines 1 and 3 rhyme by ending with the words: "alone" and "flown".
We need to pick an option therefore, that has a last word that can rhyme with the word "stay" in line 2. That option is the one above which has "day" at it's end. "Day" and "stay" rhyme so this is the correct answer.
