Whats wrong with confederacy, how is it racist? whats wrong with all lives matter?
How are these to things wrong! pls explain!!
Answer:
I don't know if this is genuine curiosity but I'll try to provide a full explanation for all questions
22+22=44
The confederacy is viewed as racist by many because it was created as a pro-slavery group. Through being pro-slavery they were being oppresive to African American/POC and viewed these slaves as a lesser form of a human when in reality, they were still people. Those who still celebrate the confederacy and state that the confederacy is the "ideal America" are either being ignorant to what the confederacy stood for or are unknown to the atrocities that the confederacy committed. The confederacy also only existed for 4 years while America has existed for 244 years.
The statement "all lives matter" doesn't neccesarily mean anything wrong. Because it's true, all lives do matter and need to be respected and treated with equal respect. However, the all lives matter movement was created after the black lives matter movement was created. In essence, it was made to silence those who were speaking out about the unfair treatment to Black people through the police force. Because of this the all lives matter movement is frowned upon because instead of speaking up about problems that are specific to people of other races it was made to silence black people specifically.
If you are serious, continue to ask questions and form your own decisions! This is obviously my side of view as it is still considered controversial but I hope it helps :)
An increase in QUANTITY demanded is caused by a change in
Answer:
An increase in quantity demanded is caused by a decrease in the price of the product (and vice versa). A demand curve illustrates the quantity demanded and any price offered on the market. A change in quantity demanded is represented as a movement along a demand curve.
Explanation:
An increase in quantity demanded is caused by a change in Price. The correct option is D. An illustration of the quantity demanded and any market price is provided by a demand curve. A demand curve shows how the quantity demanded changes as it moves along.
What causes a decrease in demand? If the cost of one of a good's complements increases, the demand for that good declines. If income rises, so does the demand for common goods. If income rises, there is less demand for inferior goods. Demand today is influenced by anticipated future earnings and prices.
The quantity demanded decreases as the price rises but demand itself stays the same. Demand rises in proportion to the price decline. This is the Demand Law. An inverse relationship is shown on a graph as a left-to-right, downward-sloping line.
Thus, the ideal selection is option D.

Juan Ponce de Leon was born in 1460 to a wealthy family in Spain. He later served as a page in the royal court. Some historians believe that Ponce de Leon may have been part of Christopher Columbus’ second voyage in 1493 which would explain how Ponce de Leon arrived in the New World for the first time. Ponce de Leon became a captain in the West Indies and was later named governor of the eastern part of Hispaniola in 1502. Hispaniola was the name the Spanish gave the island in the Caribbean that is now the Dominican Republic and Haiti. In 1508, Ponce de Leon left Hispaniola for the island of Puerto Rico in search of gold that was rumored to be found there. After landing in Puerto Rico, Ponce de Leon began a successful Spanish settlement in what is now San Juan. Once he returned to Hispaniola, he held the title of governor of Puerto Rico until he was removed from office by political rivals. In 1513, Ponce de Leon led a large expedition to Florida. Legend states that Ponce de Leon was looking for a fountain that was supposed to have the power of rejuvenating anyone who drank from it. Supposedly, the Indians who lived on the island of Bimini (now the Bahamas) referred to this fountain as the Fountain of Youth. While we now know that wasn’t Ponce de Leon’s main reason for his expedition, the legend may have been part of his plan. Ponce de Leon landed on the east coast of Florida in between modern day St. Augustine and Melbourne; however, the group didn’t know they were in North America. In fact, they thought they had landed on an island. He named the area “Florida” because of all of the tropical plants and flowers. Ponce de Leon went back to Spain after discovering Florida to get permission to colonize the area. Ponce de Leon was shot by an Indian’s arrow while leading a group of 200 men to Florida and died from his wounds in 1521. Today the city of Ponce in Puerto Rico is named in his memory. 2. Discuss the advent of the 24/7 news cycle in television and the internet. To what degree is this a useful phenomenon? In what way has this been harmful in terms of how the news is reported? Be sure to include examples .
Answer:
The way the news is reported has been transformed by the digital news era and its 24/7 news cycle. Cable television and the Internet went from valuing accuracy the most to prioritizing speed and great amounts of content to maintain the 24/7 news cycle. It´s definitely a useful phenomenon as it allows the audience to have access to more and most recent information. However, the requirement for speed often leads to an increasing lack of quality in journalism products. The need to present constant updates leads to disseminating news that doesn't provide properly fact-checked and reliable information.
Explanation:
For example, the constant updates on the new cases and death toll of the coronavirus pandemic created by the news coverage increased citizen´s perceived danger and has had an unfavorable impact on mental health. The same has happened in the past. The news coverage, within the 24/7 news cycle, of terrorist attacks by portraying Islam and its followers as the "enemy" has lead to increased xenophobia among the American population.
