Answer:
Imperialism is a policy or ideology of extending the rule over peoples and other countries, for extending political and economic access, power and control, through employing hard power especially military force, but also soft power. While related to the concepts of colonialism and empire, imperialism is a distinct concept that can apply to other forms of expansion and many forms of government.Expansionism and centralisation have been pursued throughout recorded history by states, with the earliest examples dating back to the mid-third millennium BC. However, the concept of imperialism arose in the modern age, associated chiefly with the European colonial powers of the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries and New Imperialism. Following the decolonization of European holdings, the concept has further evolved and has been broadly used to identify as well as criticise a range of policies and a number of states, including even supposedly anti-imperialist states.
Explanation:
American imperialism consists of policies aimed at extending the political, economic, and cultural influence of the United States over areas beyond its boundaries. Depending on the commentator, it may include military conquest, gunboat diplomacy, unequal treaties, subsidization of preferred factions, economic penetration through private companies followed by intervention when those interests are threatened, or regime change. The policy of imperialism is usually considered to have begun in the late 19th century, though some consider US territorial expansion at the expense of Native Americans to be similar enough to deserve the same term. The federal government of the United States has never referred to its territories as an empire, but some commentators refer to it as such, including Max Boot, Arthur Schlesinger, and Niall Ferguson. The United States has also been accused of neocolonialism, sometimes defined as a modern form of hegemony, which uses economic rather than military power in an informal empire, and is sometimes used as a synonym for contemporary imperialism. The question of whether the United States should intervene in the affairs of foreign countries has been debated in domestic politics for the whole history of the country. Opponents pointed to the history of the country as a former colony that rebelled against an overseas king, and American values of democracy, freedom, and independence. Supporters of the so-called "imperial Presidents" William McKinley, Theodore Roosevelt, and William Howard Taft justified interventions in or seizure of various countries by citing the need to advance American economic interests (such as trade and repayment of debts), the prevention of European intervention in the Americas, the benefits of keeping good order around the world, and sometimes racist ideas about the inability of other peoples to govern themselves.

In this unit, you learned about civilizations that once existed in the Mediterranean and the Middle East. Within these civilizations, you learned about different types of governments that were created to rule over people and lands. Identify some of the different types of governments that you learned about and the civilization with which they were associated. Compare and contrast these different governments, using facts from the lessons. Next, imagine that you are a leader of a new civilization in this region. Which type of government would you have supported in your kingdom or empire? Why?
Answer:
There were 2 primary types of government, a democracy, and a hierarchy. A hierarchy had a few different variants, the ruler had all power and was a god, the ruler controlled people, and the ruler had the most power but had a small house of other "government officials"
If I had a kingdom, it would have a democracy as its government. A group of advisors, the house/senate, and what many think is the ultimate power but has equal power, the president/king. Democracy is important. Not too much though, or else you get communism. Now, things were different back then. Most people kept what they had, and the citizens ran their own "government" of sorts. But a democratic government is still needed to control, and maintain the people. When I say control, I don't mean "give me all of your money and earnings and we will give you what you earned in food, water, clothes, and a house." That's communism. What I mean by control, is enforce the rules, make sure that the people don't tear each other apart, limb from limb. The people need guided to the decided way of living, which THEY CHOSE by voting. Therefore, they chose to follow these guidelines, and should not argue. That is how to run a stable government. On paper. Of course, there would be plenty of people who want to cause problems, but those things are too unpredictable to handle without communism. Not saying that it is the only way to run a government, what I meant was those things will be deal with at the time and can't be fixed on a simple word document for a history lesson on a computer learning system meant for a sixth grader to answer in a few sentences, about why you should be good to people, and not meant to go into detail about communism, and meant to see who understands how to live a happy human life, and who knows how to be the next "president" of Russia, and also just to see students creativity and knowledge of world politics as well as their downright opinion. I probably went into a lot of detail but hit the word limit.

How did the united states help britian in spite of the neutrality act
Answer:
Explanation:
Under international law a neutral country may not assist a belligerent power in any way that includes the trade in arms and munitions
Therefore once war broke out the US should not have permitted arms sales to any of the allied nations, however the Neutrality Act of 1939 modified the meaning a "neutrality" significantly in that it permitted the sale of war materials on the condition that they were paid for in cash not credit and that the belligerent power transported the materials themselves, however this clause was not open to all Belligerents
This was later amended to remove the "cash " clause and credit was extended and later still costs were offset by the leasing of bases overseas
After the fall of France the US also undertook shipping protection far beyond the limits of its territorial waters in an attempt the limit the impact of German Submarine Warfare and US ships were permitted to open fire if needed.

Answer:
c
Explanation: took the test
Algonquian and Iroquoian were the languages spoken by the American Indian cultures of the Northeast.
What was Native American culture of northeast ?The Turtle, Snipe, Bear, Heron, and Wolf clans of the Cayuga tribe still exist today, as do the other tribes' corresponding clan groups. Members would decorate ceramics and garments with their clan animal, and they occasionally drew the animal to serve as a signature.
A clan would consist of one hundred people, who would reside in a 100-foot-long bark house for the majority of the year. Many clans relocated to larger lakes or the seaside during the summer so they could fish there. They inhabited wigwams, which were dome-shaped homes composed of young trees, bark, and cattails, to stay cool.
People who spoke Iroquoian languages, such as the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca, Huron, Tionontati, Neutral, Wenrohronon, Erie, Susquehannock, and Laurentian Iroquois, ruled the region around Lakes Ontario and Erie.
Hence, Algonquian and Iroquoian were the languages spoken by the American Indian cultures of the Northeast, so option C is correct answer.
