Read The Water Cycle.

The water cycle is a natural phenomenon. It has implications for all of the living creatures it affects. Water is drawn up into the atmosphere as it evaporates from the ground, rivers, lakes, oceans, flora. and fauna. This water collects in our atmosphere. Then, it gathers together in concentrations that form clouds. Eventually, the clouds become too dense with water. This causes precipitation to begin and fall back down through our atmosphere. It lands on the Earth's surface as rain or snow. This precipitation then travels through the ground, plants, rivers, lakes and oceans. From there, it evaporates back up into the air to begin the cycle again.

Water is restorative in nature. A threat to the natural restorative nature of the water cycle is acid rain. Acid rain is caused by certain gas emissions in our atmosphere. Volcanoes release some of these gases naturally. However, the primary cause of these harmful emissions is human activity and industry. Large factories and gas-powered vehicles send harmful pollutants into the air. As these harmful gases are released into the atmosphere, they are caught in evaporated water molecules, causing acid clouds to form. The gases are also picked up by precipitation that falls from the clouds. The gases mix with the water molecules to form acids, which then fall from the sky as rain or snow. As air pollution continues, acid rain in the water cycle worsens.

Acid rain can poison plants and be harmful to animals. It is so strong that it slowly breaks down buildings and stone. The acids break down building materials. They can also burn the leaves of plants. Acid rain can even change the chemical make up of soil, making it toxic to plant life. It can also lower the productivity of farms and crop yields. As rivers and lakes become more acidic, acid rain destroys fish and aquatic life. Ocean creatures with exoskeletons are at risk of acidic waters. The acid weakens and dissolves their exoskeleton. There are many harmful effects on the water cycle caused by acid rain.

Answers

Answer:

A - The doctor made his visit out of love not for the money.

Explanation:

We can figure this out by picking the poem apart:

They say "He went to the coutries ends"

This basically means he went a long way and took a lot of effort to go somewhere.

Or to simplfy:

He tried hard to do something.

This could either mean greed or love, for these are two things that a doctor works hard for.

Now lets look at "not for fees, but for freinds"

This basically means that whatever he did was not for money, but for someone else

To simpfly:

He did something not for greed but caringness.

Caringness can be considered love.

So, lets combine our two parts of the poem:

He tried hard to do something not out of greed but for caringness.

And if we put this into the context of our poem:

He visited out of love and not for money.

This is exactly what answer A says.

Hope this helps! :D

It started as a fluke, but ended as a success story. Ella Fitzgerald wanted to dance, but it seems she was born to sing. As a teenager, she entered a talent contest and planned to do a dance number. A pair of sisters took the stage right before Fitzgerald was to perform and did an amazing dance act. Intimidated by their phenomenal performance, Fitzgerald made a last-minute decision to sing instead of dance. Her performance won her first place in the contest and a warm reception from the audience. Fitzgerald had a hard decision to make. She sadly bid good-bye to her dancing career and began exploring the possibility of making her living as a singer. Despite being shy and often filled with self-doubt about her voice, Fitzgerald persisted and slowly began making a name for herself as a singer. She was to spend the next 58 years singing and would eventually sell over 40 million records.Fitzgerald's big break came when she started singing with Chick Webb's band in 1935. At first, Webb featured her in about half of the band's songs, paying her $12.50 per week to perform. After her success in 1938 with her recording of "A Tisket, A Tasket," Webb included Fitzgerald in every selection. Fitzgerald continued to perform with Webb's band and took over as bandleader for three years after Webb died in 1939.As a solo artist, Fitzgerald worked with most of the great jazz lyrists and composers of the 20th century, including Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, and George Gershwin. Ella's "songbook" recordings, such as ,begin italics,Ella Sings the Irving Berlin Songbook, end italics,, as well as other albums garnered her 13 Grammy Awards and inspired her nickname, the "First Lady of Song.

Answers

Explanation:

Study goals were to identify family patterns of gender role attitudes, to examine the conditions under which these patterns emerged, and to assess the implications of gender attitude patterns for family conflict. Participants were mothers, fathers, and first- and second-born adolescents from 358 White, working and middle-class US families. Results of cluster analysis revealed three gender role attitude patterns: egalitarian parents and children, traditional parents and children, and a divergent pattern, with parents more traditional and children more egalitarian. Mixed-model ANOVAs indicated that these family patterns were related to socioeconomic status, parents' time spent in gendered household tasks and with children, and the gender constellation of the sibling dyad. The traditional family group reported the most family conflict.
