Which line illistrates a major theme of the story. The hike

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

You know what they don't make a lot of? Summer beach books for dudes.

I mean, okay. If you like crime novels, sure. There are always 10,000 of those slumping on the shelves. Military techno/spy WE-ONLY-HAVE-24-HOURS-TO-SAVE-THE-KENTUCKY-DERBY-FROM-ESKIMO-TERRORISTS!-style thrillers? Yeah, I guess there are some of those, too.

But what I'm saying here is that there aren't enough books with hovercrafts. With dwarf-fights. Books for guys who don't care about the specific technical details of the next generation of main battle tanks, but do have bad knees and softening guts, families, jobs, and the vague feeling that somewhere along the way we gave up something big that we didn't understand for a small victory we understand even less.

Here's the good news: Now there is one. It's called The Hike and it's written by Drew Magary (who you might know from GQ, from Deadspin, or from his appearance on the cooking show Chopped, where he played the part of a doofus in a polo shirt so perfectly that it's like he really is just some doofus in a polo shirt). He's the guy who makes fun of your favorite football teams online. Who gleefully destroys children's programming in essays full of bad words and excellent analogies. Who has already written a couple other books, but has now turned his hand to deconstructing (and then maybe having a few drinks and a half-tab of acid before re-constructing) the traditional fairy tale for this weird, modern age in which we live.

Furthermore, another reason that not all children should have cell phones is also the maturity level of whoever owns or uses the phone.  Most children or teens shouldn’t be watching comedy, romance, tragedy, etc unless an adult is okay with them watching something above their age level.  It really depends on how well a child can handle a certain movie or TV show.  Some kids can handle movies rated above their age range and other kids cannot.  Many shouldn’t be watching them if they aren’t even old enough to watch it yet, but if they have shown their parents that they can handle watching it, then that’s another story.  This doesn’t just go for movies and TV shows either.  This goes for video games, social media, and any app that includes that sort of content.

A final reason that not all children should have cell phones is because of whether or not they should have access to it during family times.  Children are more likely to use cell phones during bedtime, dinner, and other various times of the day.  It takes away from quality family time, even if they're all just sitting at the dinner table together.  Cell phones are great, but if the time isn't limited, they can cause issues in the near future.

Those are the reasons why I think most children should not have cell phones because of the bad impact it has on their mental, social, physical, and cognitive health.  At most times, phones are more trouble than they’re worth, so if they aren’t monitored with supervision, they can cause a variety of issues when you’re older.

The United States is a mixed market economy based on the ideals of capitalism and a representative republic. However, some argue that the US government is too big and overreaching. Conversely, others argue the government is needed to protect consumers from deceptive business practices, and more regulation and government oversight is the answer. What are your thoughts? Is the US government too big or not big enough?

Answers

The US government is too big. We need to get rid of many of the regulations on private businesses, which only punished small businesses and allowed big companies ones to monopolize that market.

speech about high school is the best time of my life

Answers

Answer:

High school time would probably be the best time of our lives. For some it might be the college days; but high school has it’s own different flavour. That is when almost everything gets to it’s first time experiences. The time of our lives that wants to try out new things, experience more fun and surprises, and also hit rock bottom quite a few times. We are no more our parent’s babies, we transform into teenagers. Boys turning into young men and girls change into these beautiful young ladies. Around this time we know that we are no more a child but have to be more focused on our passion and interests.

A period of time, where our parents decide to treat us like adults, loosen up a hold and let us experience certain things on our own. Lots of memories are made up during these days; make new friends which might turn out to be our best friend forever, lots of in-school and off-school parties, sports events, halloween and prom. It’s a wonderful package of unforgettable events.
