Suggested Structure of Essay
How far do you agree that World War One was caused by the Alliance System?

Introduction:
State when WWI happened and the main countries involved at the start.
List the five main causes, but don’t give details yet.

Main body of essay:
One paragraph on each of the 5 main causes, explaining information about them.
Each paragraph should say how much you think this contributed to causing WWI and why. Would WWI still have happened without this cause?
Discuss the Alliances in more detail than the others.
Use PEEL paragraphs.

Conclusion:
Couple of sentences stating whether you think the Alliance system was the biggest cause or whether other causes were greater.
