Answer:

A, gave too much power to the president

Explanation:

The Golf of Tonkin Resolution basically gave the president full command to use military force to combat any threats to the country without the need for Congress to convene and declare war. Basically, the president can attack anyone who they deem a threat without permission. This authorized the military to confront forces in South East Asia, which blew to be the Vietnam War. The people were upset over the war and saw the Resolution as an abuse of power, which was why it was later repealed.

I need 3 paragraph about the roanoke they each have to have 8 sentences

Answers

The Roanoke Colony was suppose to be the first permanent English colony in North America. The attempt was lead by a man named Sir Walter Raleigh. The first Roanoke Colony was founded by Ralph Lane in 1585 on the Roanoke Island. This colony would ultimately fail. A second colony, led by John White, would be created. But still they had a lot of struggles, mainly with supplies and poor relations with the natives. Due to lack of supplies and bad relations with the natives, John White would set out to return to England with the intent on bringing supplies back to Roanoke. After successfully making it to England he was delayed to return to Roanoke until 1590 due to the Anglo-Spanish War.

As John White was making his way up to the settlement upon return, he found the Roanoke Colony fortified but weirdly abandoned. Only clue he could find on what happened was a cryptic word, "CROATOAN", carved into the palisade. This made him think that they have relocated to an island called Croatoan Island. But another unfortunate thing happened. Before he could follow the lead, rough seas and a lost anchor caused them to half to return to England. John White would never be able to find out what happened to his colony. About 112-121 colonists went missing from the Roanoke Colony. The mystery remains unsolved.

People have speculated that the Natives had something to do with the disappearance of the Roanoke Colony. This theory was thought of due to their lack of good relations with the Natives. The idea that they were massacred could be true. Another theory is that the colonist might have made relations with the Natives and assimilated with them. This is supported by little evidence, except for the fact of stories of people with European features in Native villages. But still how could a whole colony of between 112-121 people just vanish without really any evidence. This event is definitely a very weird. Whatever happened to the Roanoke Colony most likely wasn't good, but is unknown, and will probably stay that way.

Why did Prime Minister Nehru's decision to invade the Portuguese colony of Goa, put President Kennedy in a difficult position?

Answers

Answer:

Nehru's attack on Goa would weaken capitalist forces worldwide, facilitating the spread of communism. This hindered the policy advocated by Kennedy.

Explanation:

Nehru was the prime minister of India and in addition to having to defend the country from the communist threat that was growing because of China and Russia, he had to defend the country from European colonialism.

The Goa region, in Inida, was still dominated and occupied by the Portuguese, forcing Nehru to order an attack to be made in that region, so that the Portuguese could be expelled. President Kennedy saw this as a major threat to capitalist forces, as Portuguese was a capitalist ally and India too. If a capitalist country provoked another capitalist country, it would make capitalism seen as a weak policy and incapable of promoting peace. This would allow communism to move forward with great force.
