So I'm doing math and I could use some help.

Windows on the International Space Station are shown below. Suppose the long base of the window is 15.2 feet and the short base is 11.2 feet. The perpendicular height from one base to the other base is 8.4 feet. Draw one of the trapezoid-shaped windows on grid paper and label its dimensions. Describe the process you would use to find the area of one trapezoid-shaped window.

I already answered this question, but I just wanted to give you an idea on what i'm working with. This was my response:

Area of trapezoids = (base 1 + base 2) × (height ÷ 2)

(15.2 + 11.2) × (8.4 ÷ 2) = 110.88

The area is 110.88 feet²

Now this is the question I need help on:

Calculate the area of the window using the dimensions given in Part A. Show your work and explain your reasoning.

The area of the triangle below is 9/32 square centimetres. .What is the length of the base? Express your answer as a fraction in simplest form.

Answers

S O L U T I O N :

From the provided figure and given information,

Area or triangle = [tex] \sf \dfrac{9}{32}\; cm^2 [/tex]

Height of the triangle = [tex] \sf \dfrac{3}{4}\; cm [/tex]

We are asked to calculate the length of base.

As it we know that,

[tex]\\ \twoheadrightarrow\quad \bf{Area_{(\Delta)} = \dfrac{1}{2} \times b \times h}\\ [/tex]

h denotes height b denotes base

So,

[tex]\\ \twoheadrightarrow\quad \sf{\dfrac{9}{32}\; cm^2 = \dfrac{1}{2} \times b \times \dfrac{3}{4}\; cm}\\ [/tex]

[tex]\\ \twoheadrightarrow\quad \sf{\dfrac{9}{32}\; cm^2 = b \times \dfrac{3}{8}\; cm}\\ [/tex]

[tex]\\ \twoheadrightarrow\quad \sf{\dfrac{9}{32}\; cm^2\div \dfrac{3}{8}\; cm= b }\\ [/tex]

[tex]\\ \twoheadrightarrow\quad \sf{\dfrac{\cancel{9} }{\cancel{32} }\times \dfrac{\cancel{8} }{\cancel{3}} \; cm= b }\\ [/tex]

[tex]\\ \twoheadrightarrow\quad \bf \underline{ \dfrac{3}{4}\; cm= b }\\ [/tex]

Therefore, length of the base of the triangle is 3/4 cm.

The drama club sold 415 Manatee tickets to the school's play for $7.95 each 18 of the tickets were refunded estimate the tickets is your estimate and overestimate or an underestimate. PLZ HELP ASAP!!!!!!

Answers

since you always round up when you estimate in the middle lets say theres 420 tickets. Each is 7.95, but we'll round it to 8.00. 420x8.=3,360. After that part we need to find about how much tickets were refunded. So we round 18 to 20 and each ticket is still 8$. 20x8=160. Finally in all, we do 3,360-160=3200. Its an overestimate because we rounded up. Im not sure what else youre asking but thats the basic answer.
